‘Marad FM’ slips out of India

KOZHIKODE: The foreign trip of Hilal Muhammad, who is an accused in an extortion case, has kicked up a controversy. Police have begun a probe to find out how he travelled abroad after surrendering his passport in court.



The trip of Hilal, better known as ‘Finance Minister,’ to Bahrain came to light after ‘Malayalam News,’ a daily published from the Gulf, splashed the news. Hilal had surrendered before the Crime Branch, and the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court had remanded him in custody for 16 days.
