NIMCET to be held on May 20

KOZHIKODE: Notification for admission to MCA conducted by nine NITs has been published. The common entrance exam (NIMCET-2007), conducted by the NIT-Durgapur, will be held on May 20.



All NITs in India will be the test centres for NIMCET. In Kerala, NIT-Calicut will be the test centre, said a release from Dr A P Shashikala, chairperson, admissions, NIT-Calicut.



General candidates with an aggregate of 60 percent marks in degree can apply. SC/ST candidates will get 5 percent concession in this regard. Those who are appearing for the final year exams are also eligible to appear for the test.



Application form, syllabus for the test and information brochure can be downloaded from www.nitc.ac.in or www.nitdgp.ac.in.



Completed applications should reach the convener, NIMCET-07, NIT-Durgapur, NIT Campus, Durgapur, 713 209 on or before March 23, along with a crossed DD of Rs 700 (Rs 350 for SC/ST) drawn in favour of the NIMCET-07 convener.



The DD should be drawn on SBI REC branch (code 2308) or on any nationalised banks, payable at Durgapur.
