A Conference on Global Competition and Competitiveness of Indian Corporates will be held at IIM Kozhikode on May 18-19, 2007
Conference Objectives
- Develop/increaseawareness and understanding of the patterns and impact of globalcompetition and take stock of the preparedness of the Indian industryto face the challenges of global competition in and outside India.
- Provide a platform for exchange of ideas among business, academia and the policy makers to enable them
to channel their expertise towards the common goal of improving India’s global competitiveness. - Identify issues for future research on global competitiveness of India and gathering support of industry inproviding the data for the same.
- Prepare a blueprint for future action, to guide meaningful research programmes in the country and to helpdevelop appropriate coping strategies to meet the challenges of globalization.

Duration and Venue
The conference will start at 9:30 AM on May18, 2007 and end at 5:00 PM on May 19, 2007. Venue of the Conference will be Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. Limited accommodation on twin sharing and first-come-first-served basis is available in the guesthouses at IIMK campus. There are an adequate number of hotels of various categories available in Calicut and the same can be arranged on request, for participants who do not get the accommodation on campus.
