Integrated M.Sc(Tech) Degree in ‘Mathematics and Scientific Computing’ / Ph.D. degree in Mathematics in NIT Calicut


Eligibility: B.Sc Degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics/ B.Tech Degree (any discipline) with 60% marks in aggregate (CGPA 6.5/10) in the qualifying examination. For SC/ST candidates, 50% marks (CGPA 5.5/10).

Selection: The admission is based on test/ interview conducted by the Institute.

General Information: Candidates should go through the information brochure available in the institute website for details on eligibility, highlights of the programmes, areas of research, dates of admission etc. No additional applications are needed for applying to more than one M.Tech Programme. In M.Tech programme, a few seats are available exclusively for SC/ST candidates. A few seats are also available for foreign nationals and sons and daughters of NRIs. Foreign nationals should get themselves nominated by the Ministry of External Affairs (Students’ Cell), Government of India. External registration scheme is available only for candidates working in recognized research institutions.

Application Fee: For M.Tech / Ph.D / MSc(Tech), Rs.600/- for General, Rs. 300/- for SC/ST candidates and Rs.2000/- for sons and daughters of NRIs (Demand Draft drawn in favour of: “Chairperson-PG Admissions NIT Calicut” payable at : State Bank of India, CREC Branch - Code No. 2207).
