As much as it is important to know how to use a computer, so is it necessary to know how to protect your computer on a network. The information on the computer is an asset and the risks are very high. There are no geographical limitations to computer attacks.
The certification outlines every thing about Information security that a computer user (at all levels) should know. This foundation level certification will enable an individual to take other higher level certifications in the field.

Information Security Awareness Certification is aimed for any computer user for whom securing his information asset on a computer on a network is of concern. This may include Secretaries, Data entry Operators, IT professionals, Information analysts, System administrator, IT consultants, IT Managers, Systems Officers etc.
An up to date syllabus has been drawn that will serve as a blueprint for learning or furthering skills in Information Security. The expertise that is gained through the certification process provides individuals with the kind of recognition they need —on the job, among colleagues, and by future employers.

Getting Training >
We do not accredit any training institutes. However there may be training institutes offering training for this certification. A list of reference material is specified in the syllabus. Those planning to take the certification can also get on request, a soft copy of a basic reference material developed by DOEACC Centre Calicut for the purpose. The list of training centers who have contacted us for offering the training will be published in our website at a later stage. However this in any way does not guarantee the quality of the training given by them.
Individuals planning to take the test can register with us by filling a registration form available in our site for download along with a payment of Rs.350 as DD drawn in favor of the Director , DOEACC Centre Calicut, payable at State Bank of India, Calicut REC Branch. There will be fine for late submission of registration forms.

In addition to the above, examinations will be conducted if there are a minimum of 20 participants attempting to take the certification from any (training) centre. In this case, the request can be forwarded by the Centre to The Controller of Examinations (IS), DOEACC Centre Calicut.
Tests will be conducted at select locations in India depending on the registrations. The test Locations for each test will be notified separately.
