Ragam is the annual cultural fest organised by National Institute of Technology, Calicut from 26-29th March 2008. Ragam the annual cultural festival of NIT Calicut had its beginnings in the 70s. From a cultural festival it has metamorphosed into a vast cultural extravaganza involving scores of events and massive participation. Ragam was started in the memory of the late Rajan , who was a student of NITC ( CREC). He died during the emergency under unfortunate circumstances. Ragam was initiated in his memory.The various events which are being organised as part of Ragam are: Group Dance, Solo Dance, Drama, Street Play, Mime. Tableau, Mono act, Pencil Sketching, Clay Modeling, Face Painting, Cartooning, Vegetable Carving and other Musical events. Various Literary events are Extempore, Creative Writing, Debate, JAM. The various events in the general category are Videography, Potpourri, Photography, Mock Stock. Creme de la creme is a contest for all budding fashion designers, the fashion show of Ragam ‘08.
