Organised by
Department ofElectronics & Communication Engineering
NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY CALICUT
KERALA, INDIA.
It is widelyrecognized that data security will play a central role in the design offuture IT systems. Many of those IT applications will be realized asembedded systems which rely heavily on security mechanisms. Examplesinclude security for wireless phones, wireless computing, pay-TV, andcopy protection schemes for audio/video consumer products and digitalcinemas. A large share of those embedded applications will be wireless, which makes the communication channel especially vulnerable. All modernsecurity systems are based on symmetric-key or public-key algorithms.
Thepresent course covers several important cryptographic concepts andtheir relevance to embedded system applications. A broad outline of thecourse is:
♦ Number Theory - Review
The faculty for the course will be from National Institute of Technology, Calicut and other reputed Institutions.
Coordinators
Ms. Deepthi P.P., ECED, NIT Calicut Dr. PS. Sathidevi, ECED, NIT Calicut
Eligibility
The course is open to teachers, with specialisation in Electronics,Electronics & Communications, Electrical & Electronics andComputer Science who are working in Engineering Colleges/ Polytechnicsapproved by AICTE. Limited seats are available for candidates fromIndustries and R&D Institutions.
