Uma Unni quits BJP post

Uma Unni, who has been nominated as the district vice-president of the BJP, has resigned from the post.

In a strongly worded letter to party state president P K Krishnadas, she said it was expected that the new leadership would move forward united, with a strong footing in the party ideology.

"Instead, the leadership is protecting those who had indulged in indiscipline and trading of votes. The Araya community has strong protest and deep anguish over the developments," she said.

P Raghunath and T V Unnikrishnan, who had backstabbed the Marad agitation have been inducted in the new leadership.
