KOZHIKODE: Minister for Industries Elamaram Karim will lay the stone for a dyeing unit being set up by the Calicut Integrated Powerloom (Ind) Co-operative Society (Cipco) at Mannankavu, Naduvannur, Kozhikode on Sunday.
The inauguration of a weaving training programme, launch of Cipco brand products, and inauguration of the Cipco web site will also be held at the function.
The Calicut Integrated Powerloom (Ind.) Cooperative Society was registered in 1998.
The Government authorised Kerala State Cooperative Textile Federation Ltd. (Texfed) as the implementing agency of the project and released Rs.450 lakh.
The first phase of the project was commissioned in March 2001.
