KOZHIKODE: An accident was averted at the Karipur international airport after one of the tyres of the Air India flight from Sharjah got inflated.
The tyre got inflated when the Indian Airlines IC 596 landed at the airport, sources said and added it was brought to safety without any problems.
Soon after a loud bursting noise was heard, the central industrial security force, fire force and the airport officials rushed to the spot, they said.
Similar incidents had taken place at the Karipur airport earlier also.
