Agreement signed for Wide Area Network

T'PURAM: Kerala government on Tuesday signed an agreement with the united telecom ltd (utl) for implementation of a Wide Area Network (WAN) project under the state's IT mission.



The WAN would link network operating centres at Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode with district and block level government offices, an official release said.



The agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan by state it special secretary K R Jyothilal and UTL MD Raja Mohan Rao.



The Rs 78.70 crore project would be implemented on bot basis.
