Executive Education Programmes in Finance (eEPF)

Executive Education Programmes in Finance (eEPF) is conceived with the idea of providing specialized learning in the specific business function. Delivered through interactive distance learning mechanism, the programme offers a range of foundation, advanced and integrative courses in the specific functional area for working executives aiming to build specialized competency in Business Finance.

Programme Title
Participants of the eEPF, on successful completion of the six month long programme, would be awarded the title �Advanced Certificate in Finance ' by IIMK.

Programme Objectives
The objective of the executive Education Programme in Finance is to impart the key skills that are required to make decisions regarding valuation of assets, hedging, trading and portfolio management and help the participant in managing corporates, banks, financial institutions and regulatory organizations.

Programme Structure and Curriculum
Spread over six months, it covers fundamental, competency related and integrative courses, structured to be delivered in about 225 hours. The 10 courses offered are meant to impart management knowledge and skills to the participants covering the latest concepts and techniques in the specific functional area of business. Faculty from IIMK and distinguished visiting faculty from reputed academic institutions and industry handle these courses.

eEPF curriculum
The curriculum of eEPF is given in the tables below:

1. Fundamental courses: These courses provide the participants with the basic concepts underlying the finance function.

2. Competency courses: These courses impart the skills and competencies that are needed to pursue key activities of the organization

3. Integrative course: A capstone course that tries to integrate the learning in the programme

The Programme is delivered in 2 key components:

• 189 hours of classroom learning through Interactive Distance Learning mode
• 36 hours of classroom learning through In-campus Modules

Programme Fees
The total fees for eEPF is Rs. 1,01,250/-. The fees include tuition, books/reading material, Learning Management Support, Library and computer facility at IIMK Campus, examination fees etc.

The fees do not include the expenses of travel and stay in Kozhikode for the compulsory modules conducted at the IIMK campus in Kozhikode for one week each during the each term.

The fees can be paid in the following schedule:

Installment 1	on or before June 30, 2007	Rs. 61,250/-
Installment 2	on or before September 30, 2007	Rs. 40,000/-

Mode of Payment
Through DD favouring Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode payable at Calicut . Please write your name at the back of the DD.

 

Important Dates

Deadline for submitting the filled up application form	:	May 25, 2007
Interview on the technology platform (tentative)	:	June 4-8, 2007
List of selected candidates released on IIMK Website	:	June 15, 2007
Enrollment and payment of first installment of the fees	:	June 30, 2007
Classes commence	:	August 6, 2007
