KOZHIKODE: A four-year-old boy was killed by a speeding bus in front of Nalanda Hospital at Ulliyeri here on Saturday afternoon. Irate local people went on a rampage and destroyed the bus.
Anuvind, the only son of Jayachandran and Sheeja of Chettikulam Vayalill at Elathur, was an LKG student with Seetharam ALP School at Chettikullam.
Police said the boy was walking on the side of the road along with his uncle Madhu when the speeding bus, running between Nadapuram and Kozhikode, hit him from front.
Madhu fell unconscious witnessing the tragedy, even as the driver fled the scene.
Atholi police have registered a case against the bus driver.
